CopyCamp in Toronto: Participant-Run Copyright "Unconference" on April 29 and 30

2008-03-27 13:35:34        Posted by: ikat381        Category: Copyright

Copycamp.ca is taking registration info for the 2nd CopyCamp, "An unconference for artists about the Internet and the challenge to copyright." It’s run according to a model where events are scheduled by participants via a wiki or through spontaneous coordination during the unconference itself.

Lots of bright and exciting artists and thinkers attended the 2006 CopyCamp. Plunderphonics composer John Oswald was there. So was Mark Hosler of the Negativland band, whose Mashin of the Christ and Truth In Advertising videos might be familiar to you from the TotalRecut gallery. Also in attendance was Canadian law professor/copyright activist Michael Geist, who ragaman7 has posted about on the blog.

I don’t know who’s going this time but spots are limited so if you wanna be one of the contributors I suggest you hurry to the registration page which is at the following address: http://www.copycamp.ca/register-copycamp2008
