By Eddie D! In this work we see and hear the "Beautiful People" that occupy our media landscape. It shows the preoccupation of the media with a certain model of human being that seems to be chosen more for his or her looks than the contents of their brain. Paris Hilton, a fitness trainer and the cast of a reality show/model contest are the actors in this human drama. Cuore is a musical video collage, a video opera if you wish, in which found footage elements are seamlessly integrated with the music. Composer Eric de Clercq wrote the music in conjunction with mr d's editing process to assure a tight integration of video and music. Cuore is the third work in a trilogy in which eddie d cooperated with a composer to create a video/music composition. This music was originally played life by a 5 piece ensemble with synchronized video projection and recorded in the studio for the video release.
